One book. Many lenses.

A history of memory.

A study of belonging.

A map of what lasts.

Travellers crossing a glowing landscape between ancient and modern worlds, beneath the line 'Borders divide maps, not humanity.'

Borders Divide Maps, Not Humanity

For thousands of years our ancestors crossed mountains, deserts and oceans carrying their symbols, stories and rituals — a species of migrants searching for meaning, belonging and a place to call home.

About the Author

Written from life. Not from a library.

Born in Kerala, India, on the Malabar Coast, he grew up in Kochi, in streets where a Hindu temple, a Christian church, a mosque and a synagogue stood within walking distance of one another. He did not study multicultural identity from books. He was born inside it.

Over more than twenty years, work and travel carried him through banking, advertising and aviation across Asia, the Middle East and Europe, through more than twenty-five countries and countless airports in between.

“The most important things people carry rarely appear in their luggage.”

He now lives in Flensburg, Germany, near the Danish border, writing about civilisation, symbols, identity, migration and belief, always returning to the same question: what survives, and why?

"

Today I started reading, and you made me go back to my own life. I lost my grandmother in September 2025, and tears rolled down my face. With every page, I remembered conversations, traditions, and little moments I thought I had forgotten forever. I still have a few pages left, but I already know this is more than a book. It is a mirror reflecting our memories, our families, and the meanings we carry through life.

"Living thousands of miles away from Kerala, I often wonder what truly defines home. This book gave me an unexpected answer. It isn't the house we leave behind. It is the stories, rituals, smells, and symbols we carry within us."

"Moving to another country teaches you that language can be learned, but belonging takes much longer. I realized that the traditions my parents passed on were never ordinary habits. They were quiet acts of preservation."

"Every culture survives because someone chooses to carry it forward. It made me think about my grandparents, family gatherings, festivals, and even the smallest rituals I once took for granted. This is not simply a book about history. It is a book about humanity."

"Growing up between different cultures often feels like balancing two worlds. The Symbol Code reminded me that identity is not something we choose once. It is something we continue to carry every day."

"In a world that moves faster every day, this book invites us to slow down and ask what is truly worth preserving. It speaks about symbols, but what it really explores is memory, belonging, and the invisible threads that connect generations."

"What travels with us is often more valuable than what we leave behind. This book gave words to emotions many migrants feel but rarely express."

"I thought I was opening a book about symbols and civilizations. Instead, I found myself remembering my own childhood, my family table, old songs, and traditions that quietly shaped my identity. Few books teach history while touching the heart. This one does exactly that."

What is The Symbol Code about?+
It decodes the invisible system behind symbols, belief, memory, identity and meaning, tracing one pattern across 5,000 years, from the pyramids of Egypt to the algorithms of TikTok, to explain why some symbols, stories and identities survive while others disappear.
Who is Tribue Francis?+
A Digital Growth Strategist and the author of The Symbol Code. Born in Kochi, Kerala, India and now based in Flensburg, Germany, he spent more than twenty years working and travelling through banking, advertising and aviation across Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
Is this a branding book?+
Not exactly. Branding is only one modern expression of something much older.
Before logos, there were symbols. Before campaigns, there were rituals. Before audiences, there were communities.
The Symbol Code traces that deeper pattern across civilisation itself.
Why do symbols matter?+
Symbols are containers for memory, meaning, belonging and continuity. They carry what language cannot, and they often outlive the people and empires that created them. Understanding how they work is understanding how anything lasts.
Who should read this book?+
Anyone drawn to history, identity, migration, belief, branding or legacy, and anyone asking what they are building that might outlast them. It speaks to founders, marketers, historians, and anyone carrying meaning across generations.
Why is this book relevant today?+
Because symbols are not relics. They are active and present, moving through governments and brands, temples and apps, rituals and algorithms. The mechanism that built ancient empires now shapes our digital feeds.
